The cherry blossoms have started blooming again this year.

Today is a clear, sunny day with not a cloud in the sky.

There’s a slight breeze.

However, tomorrow is expected to be cloudy with a chance of rain.

There is a proverb that goes:

“There are no three consecutive sunny days in spring.”

This proverb succinctly captures the nature of spring weather. In spring, strong westerly winds blow over the Japanese archipelago, and high- and low-pressure systems pass through alternately. As a result, sunny days rarely last long, and the weather changes rapidly. For this reason, it is said that sunny weather rarely lasts for three days in a row, leading to the saying, “There are no three consecutive sunny days in spring.”
